Hati PDF ("we", "us", "our") is a PDF productivity service operated for users across East Africa and worldwide. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
1. Files you upload
Tools marked "processed in your browser" never upload your file. The PDF is read, modified and saved entirely on your device — we cannot see it.
Tools that require server processing (Word ↔ PDF, Excel ↔ PDF, PowerPoint ↔ PDF, PDF unlock, PDF → Images) upload your file over HTTPS to our conversion infrastructure. Files are deleted automatically within 24 hours.
2. Account data
When you create an account we store your email address, an optional display name, and your hashed authentication tokens. Sign-in providers (Google) share basic profile information with us — name, email, avatar — and nothing else.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. We store a Stripe customer ID and subscription metadata so we can grant access to paid features.
4. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation to understand how the site is used. We do not sell, share or rent your personal data to third parties for marketing.
5. Your rights
You can request export or deletion of your account data at any time by emailing support@hatipdf.com. We will respond within 30 days.
